Who We Are

NES (NextGen Energy Solution) is a German energy storage company developing and delivering sodium-based (SIB) battery energy storage systems. Founded in 2024, we combine cutting-edge cell chemistry with simple, robust production and a fully localized supply chain.

We aim to offer a smarter, safer, and more sustainable alternative to conventional lithium-ion batteries. Our systems are non-flammable, free of lithium, cobalt, and nickel, and designed to operate for over 8,000 cycles — equivalent to approximately 25 years of service life.

Our Mission

  • Powering the transition: Safe, affordable, independent energy storage.
  • A smarter alternative: Bypassing the drawbacks of conventional lithium-ion technologies.
  • Local supply chain: Commodity materials sourced locally, no exposure to high-tariff regions.
  • Safety & Longevity: Non-flammable systems operating for >8,000 cycles without critical minerals.

The NES Approach

The global energy transition depends on reliable, cost-effective storage — but today's dominant lithium-ion battery technology comes with fire risks, complex supply chains, and dependency on geopolitically sensitive materials. We learned from the failures of European lithium battery pioneers and built a fundamentally different approach. The result: a battery system that is 40% cheaper to operate than lithium-ion, non-flammable, and geopolitically independent.
